Curriculum


Practical Life:

The fundamental tools of learning (concentration, organization, coordination, and independence) are established as the child learns simple tasks of daily living. These tasks involve care of themselves, such as buttoning or bow trying and care of the environment, such as clean up responsibilities after lunch time.

Sensorial:

The Montessori sensorial apparatus assists the child in learning to differentiate between sizes, shapes, colors, textures, sounds and tastes.Through these activities the child learns to evaluate and find solutions to concrete problems.

Language Arts:

Reading is inseparable from listening to stories, talking and writing.Children are encouraged to communicate their ideas and feelings through dramatic play, drawing and eventually writing about their own experiences.

Mathematics:

Children gain knowledge of the world of numbers and their functions through active manipulation of concrete Montessori materials.These learning are reinforced through play-oriented activities such as building with blocks, measuring sand, water, or ingredients for cooking.

Cultural Sciences:

Children are naturally curious about themselves and the world around them. They are encouraged to observe the changes in the environment explore animal (including human) and plant life, experiment with materials - air, water, wheels etc.

Music/Art:

Art is an integral part of the program. A variety of art media are available such as easel painting , water-color, clay and crayons. Music occurs at group time and involves singing, rhythm and movement. Physical Activity: children have daily opportunities to jump, run, swing, climb etc. to develop their large muscles and gros motor movements.
